Today, the beauty and scale of this spectacular venue continue to inspire its guests, just as they did for the kings, queens and courtiers who have celebrated and banqueted here since 1622.

Designed by revolutionary architect Inigo Jones, the Banqueting House is staged in a space purpose built for entertainment, ceremony and spectacle, making it one of the most dazzling events venues in London.

The Main Hall, with its grandeur and opulent surroundings can seat up to 400 guests theatre style or as many as 500 for a standing drinks reception. Alternatively, the atmospheric space of the Undercroft, the Hall's more intimate counterpart, can accommodate up to 380 guests for standing drinks receptions.

Banqueting House is a visitor attraction as well as a prestigious events venue. We are guaranteed to be open to the public between 10.00 and 13.00 each day. Venue hire is available from 13.00 onward. We are able to offer all day hire on selected Thursdays only throughout the year.
