The Athenaeum

overview

The Athenaeum is a superb conference and events venue with five versatile function rooms available to hire. The Georgian, chandeliered Ballroom is the largest space located on the ground floor which can hold up to 160 guests for a dinner dance, maximum of 180 attendees for a theatre style conference and 250 guests for a party. The Lounge is situated on the 1st floor and can accommodate meetings and conferences for up to 70 attendees as well as events, such as: exhibitions, private and corporate parties for up to 50 guests. This bright and airy space have its own bar area.
The Reading Room is a beautiful yet formal meeting space on the 1st floor benefiting from a balcony over-looking Angel Hill and the entrance to the Abbey Gardens. This room is inter-linked with the Lounge and it is perfect for small meetings for up to 40 as well as intimate events. The Old Billiards Room and Library are located on the ground floor opposite each other. The maximum capacity for a meeting is 50 guests.

Exit the A14 on junction 43 and follow the A134. At the first roundabout take the 1st exit onto the Northgate Street and follow the road to the end. At the junction turn left onto Mustow Street. Ram Meadow car park is on your left. Once parked make your way into the Abbey Gardens and exit onto the Angel Hill. The Athenaeum is on the right hand side
