The Grand was once a palace of business - built in 1906 as the headquarters of the North Eastern Railway and now reborn as a hotel, but retaining its original splendour with intricate stonework and marble detailing. Alongside a collection of meeting and event spaces, The Grand, York features beautiful public spaces, extraordinarily spacious rooms, two restaurants and bars, an executive lounge and a spa.

The Grand Boardroom is the hotel's flagship space, with stunning floor to ceiling windows and original parquet floor and wood panelling. The Chairman's Suite offers the same grandeur in a more intimate setting, whilst a series of additional rooms provide the ideal space for meetings, dinners and breakout spaces.

The Grand, York offers Day Delegate, Residential Delegate and Room Hire options, with a dedicated events team on hand to create bespoke packages to suit your requirements.

New for 2019, The Cookery School at The Grand, York offers a unique immersive element to any meeting or conference. A state-of-the-art space with 16 work stations, enhance your conference with a half-day, full-day or express class or host your whole event in the cookery school and make use of the adjoining meeting room and outdoor courtyard.
