STARTER FOR 10:

It’s not long ago that Yellowfoot Lodge was a condemned building just outside of Windsor with water coming through the ceiling. Fast forward a few years and discover a light, bright meeting venue that puts customers first and is an ideal centre for learning, creative thinking – in fact, any face to face activity.

Passing Eton College, it’s easy to miss the entrance and carry on to Datchet.  But it would be a shame if you did.  On arrival, you’re welcomed like a long-lost friend and it’s akin to wearing a favourite old jumper.  You immediately feel warm, comfy and at home thanks to the friendliness of the staff who genuinely care about the people coming through the door.

Yellowfoot Lodge, now part of Eagle’s Flight (World leader in the development and delivery of experiential learning programmes), is very much open to all.  Their client list is impressive and diverse. From internal product launches for Apple, Innocent Drinks and Reckitt Benckiser to family fun days for Thames Water. Throw into the mix a venue for charity training courses and team meetings for the public sector and you begin to get the picture.

WHY SO SPECIAL?

The expression blank canvas is much used.  But for Yellowfoot Lodge, it’s spot on. By default, this is an “exclusive hire venue” – a positive for many – and can turn its hand to any sort of event. The flexibility of the space and the mindset of the operations team combine to offer solutions to client requests rather than negative shakes of the head.  Tables and chairs can quickly be re-configured throughout the day to reflect different sessions, speakers or change of mood.

Want an impromptu break?  No problem.  Wander through in to a homely kitchen area, where the whiff of coffee beans prevails, and the sight of “home-made” cookies, donuts and fruit salads cannot fail to impress. Buffet lunches cater for all dietary requirements. And if you’re still hungry in the afternoon there are chocolate nibbles together with more healthier options.

Full A/V facilities – projection, screen, sound and Wi-Fi – are included in Day Delegate and Room Hire Rates.  No real surprise there.  But it is the small attention to detail that is impressive – trainer boxes with a choice of multi-coloured flip chart pens that work.  A selection of popular sweets on each table.  Breakfast snacks of toast and fresh juices for those who didn’t have time to eat before they left home.

Yellow foot’s origin was as a Team Building Centre. And organisations today can still benefit from Simon Percival’s expertise in this area.  In fact, many companies and organisations combine a half day of business with the remaining time invested in bite size Team Building programmes:

Team Dynamics – Harness your team’s energy for greater outcomes!

Areas of focus include getting to know each other better, building effective communication, working towards common goals, building trust, aligning to common goals and objectives, leadership and innovation. It’s a given that events with us are FUN, ENGAGING and RELEVANT!

Mission Possible – Activities for a fun, engaging team event!

Split into sub teamsactivities are competitive and fun! Included are creative, energetic, or physical activities, or ones that require problem solving. A mix that allows individuals to shine and more importantly make everyone feel included!

Ultimately Yellowfoot Lodge is special because you feel as if you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of London and the South East.  Lost in a creative event space where the focus can be on the subject in hand with distractions kept to an absolute minimum.

GOOD TO KNOW!

BAGS OF NATURAL DAYLIGHT:   In fact, the whole of one wall is a giant window.  Even on a dark Winter’s day, you won’t go stir crazy.

OUTSIDE DECKING:  An artificial grass decking area is ideal as an additional break out space, place to have breaks or an alfresco lunch when the weather is good.  Or why not have a drinks reception out there when the hard works done and it’s time to relax?

AT THE END OF THE DAY:  A local club that has a monthly meeting?  A weekly social gathering of friends?  Looking for a place to hold a First Aid Training Course? Don’t forget that Yellowfoot Lodge offers excellent evening hire rates.

CAR PARK:  There’s a lot of it and it’s free – something a lot of other local venues can’t boast.

BEAR IN MIND…

  • You are close to the Heathrow flight path.  Inside the building is sound proofed, but if outside depending on which runway is being used, you may incur noise from a passing jet…
  • There is only one main room and therefore creative breakout consideration will be needed if this is an important part of your event.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Love the NICE TOUCH of high-end Molton Brown Soap and freshly laundered individual cotton towels in the loos. Small thing, big impact.

No concern with PERSONAL SAFETY.  Car parking is right next door to the venue and effective evening lighting provides that all important security factor.

GO LARGE.   Looking for a big old space, perhaps to erect a marquee?  Yellowfoot Lodge has the capacity and can hold events for up to 800 people.

IT’S A WRAP – SERVICE IS THE SECRET

Make no mistake.  Yellowfoot Lodge is no “Eton Mess”. And if it’s good enough for Eton School amongst many well-known clients it really should be on your shortlist of venues, particularly for meetings or events in the 20-30 delegate range.  The team here really get that Service is the Secret and won’t be put out if you have any special requests or ideas you’d would like to implement.  We highly recommend you go and take a look for yourself and would be surprised if you came away disappointed.
