Directions by Road from Edinburgh Airport:
Head for signs for City Centre with airport on the left, under the RBS $4m Bridge with Royal Bank of Scotland on the right, take the underpass to go into the city, (central lane) and emerge with the Marriott Hotel on the right hand side ? continue 2 miles, past The Zoo (lefthand) Edinburgh Holiday Inn (lefthand) ? and then a residential street with numerous Hotels & B&B?s both right and left; an imposing building on the left - Donaldsons School for the Deaf. Whole distance from airport about 6 miles. This will bring you eventually in to Haymarket, with the main line Train Station on your right. Continue straight over lights which becomes Shandwick Place. Keep to left hand lane as there are numerous right-hand filters. Approach the lights in the lefthand lane (Frasers Dept Store in front of you Number One Rutland Place Bar to the right,) which brings you to the junction of Shandwick Place and Princes Street ahead of you with Lothian Road to the right.
Go straight over into Princes Street, for only about 500m to the left hand mandatory turn into Charlotte Square. (Buses and Taxis only allowed along Princes Street) After the left turn into Charlotte Square go straight over ? don?t be forced left. You will be travelling in a northerly direction, then immediately sharp downhill and the Firth of Forth is in the distance in front of you. At the bottom of the hill at traffic lights, take the right hand filter into Queen Street. Continue along Queen Street crossing intersection of Castle Street. Get into right hand lane as you are taking the next right hand turn into Frederick Street. There is a right hand green filter traffic light. Take the right turn up into Frederick and Ricks is on the left hand side about 50 m after the turn. Take a left at George Street/Frederick St roundabout in to George Street. Take the next right hand turn into Hanover Street, then at the lights take a right into Rose Street Lane South. Follow the lane we are the 5th shutter on the left hand side.
Directions by road from The South, A1 >London Road
You?ll be coming in from the A1 . Follow signs into Edinburgh City Centre. Follow London Road into the city centre, landmarks Meadowbank on the right; large roundabout at Picardy Place (straight ahead is John Lewis; to the left is The Edinburgh Playhouse and the Omni Centre). At Picardy Place roundabout take the third exit, York Place which is past the St Mary?s Cathedral (left hand side) and landmark pub, The Conan Doyle. Continue along York Place which becomes Queen Street. Then take the third left into Hanover Street. Go up Hanover, go straight over George Street at the roundabout, and take the first right hand turn into Rose Street Lane South at the Lloyds TSB Bank. Rose St. Lane South is a pedestrian precinct. Take the first left (about 50 yards) and follow the direction of the road. We are the fifth garage entry along, the double height roller Shutter. To gain entry, hit the Reception Buzzer on the left hand side wall. Enter via the ramp.
Queen, George and Princes Streets all run parallel east to west and have intersections running north-south Hanover Castle, Frederick and Castle Streets, in between the two Squares, Charlotte at the West End and St. Andrew?s at the East End)
