The McMillan family is proud to present to you its privately-owned and individually-managed country house hotel. The Cally Palace. The Cally Palace was built in 1763 as a country mansion for the Murray family of Gatehouse of Fleet and first opened as a hotel in 1928. Since 1981, the McMillans have worked on restoring the mansion to its former elegance. Care has been taken to retain its atmosphere and sophistication. Our cocktail bar provides a convivial ambience in which to have pre- dinner drinks and in our elegant dining room, renowned for its first- class cuisine, a professional, friendly staff willingly caters for your every need. The Cally Palace Hotel continues the skilled tradition of silver service. During dinner, our pianists will be delighted to play your requests and on Saturdays, dinner is accompanied by dancing to one of our popular local bands. Gentlemen are requested to wear jacket and tie in the dining room. Accommodation includes a range of suites and luxury bedrooms. All rooms are en-suite, with every modern amenity including colour TV, direct dial telephone, and trouser press plus many other little extras to make your stay enjoyable. The accommodation has been individually designed by Mr and Mrs McMillan and is constantly upgraded in the highest standard of traditional decor.
