Craigmillar Castle lies just three miles south of Edinburgh and is one of Scotland’s most perfectly preserved late medieval castles with a tower house, courtyard and gardens.

The history of the Castle is not only closely involved with that of the city of Edinburgh, but is also part of the story of Mary Queen of Scots and it was here that that plot was hatched to murder Lord Darnley.
