The Playhouse consists of a 411 seat Main Auditorium (proscenium style), a 120 seat Studio Theatre (thrust style), two class/rehearsal studios, and a foyer bar.
Harlow Playhouse was opened in 1971 following a community campaign for a theatre facility in the town, and has been operated as a service of Harlow Council since 1996.
