The Council and Luton Culture were awarded £1,247,000 from the Big Lottery Fund to improve the Central Library and increase the range of learning available. With extra funding from both organizations, around £1.8 million has been spent on improving the library and its services. This included new, flexible meeting rooms for use by local and regional organizations, companies and individuals, accommodating from 8-100 people.The Luton Central Library Conference Rooms have excellent transport links and flexible opening times with parking available at the nearby shopping centre The Mall. The conference rooms are furnished ready for meetings and have data projection and smart board facilities, as well as flipchart stands and other equipment available on request. The Luton Central Library Conference Rooms can be combined with hire of Luton Library Theatre to accommodate larger conference style events. The nearby cafe can provide drinks and light refreshments to your room as required.
