Burton Market is located in the centre of town and includes both an indoor market hall and an outdoor market. Both spaces are of a very large size and can be hired for a wide variety of occasions and events. Events held in the past have included concerts, gigs, car boot sales, fairs and the annual Christmas lights switch on, as well as the usual farmers, food and craft markets. As well as the large open space in the Market Hall, the balcony which looks down into the centre of the hall is also available.
