overview
The National Mining Museum Scotland is based in the historic mining town of Newtongrange, which is based just outside of Edinburgh City located on the A7 with good transportation links by rail, bus and car. Our museum is a former Victorian Colliery and retains the beautifully rustic feel of the industrial heritage site. We are a 5-Star visitor attraction with a modest conference offer that suits the historic nature of the museum.
Access to the Exhibition Galleries is included in the venue hire fee. Guided tours with former miners can be arranged upon request.
