The first floor Assembly Room has been restored to its former glory and is a fine example of 18th Century stucco plasterwork. It can seat 240 (theatre style) with full public address and induction loop facilities available. It is suitable for conferences, exhibitions, concerts, receptions etc. Disabled access is available via a stair lift. For the smaller gathering there is a pleasant room overlooking the gardens of St. John’s Almshouses (the De Winton Room). It seats 40 (theatre style) and has an audio link from the Assembly Room if required.Self-catering facilities are available (including crockery and cutlery by prior arrangement). A dining area (the Bevero Room) adjoins the kitchen and has a buffet capacity of 70. The room is also suitable for other uses and would seat 60 (theatre style).
