The Bear was originally a coaching inn that has played host to Queen Victoria, Churchill, Eisenhower and the Canadian Prime Minister, Jean Chretien. Set in historic surroundings and located near the town centre, we take pride in The Bear's successful combination of traditional charm and modern facilities.
