Master Blackwell is an 8th Dan Karate master and the chief instructor of the English Korean karate Association. (The EKKA) Master Blackwell is a “ flagship” teacher, assessing not only extraordinary personal skills at martial arts ( and he holds black belts in three separate disciplines) but also a remarkable talent to pass on those skills to instructors and students alike ( coaching honed by Master Blackwell whilst teaching in the last five decades). Master Blackwell’s philosophy is that every student is special and deserving of personal attention in a safe and secure learning environment. Master Blackwell believes that martial arts skills he teaches help people to become complete, students not only become physically fit, but they develop mentally and gain in ‘confidence’. By setting and achieving personal goals they get stronger, giving them that much-needed edge in the world.
