"Situated in the most tranquil of locations, an elegant Regency country house surrounded by some of the most beautiful views over the English countryside."
"Built in 1805 by an Italian architect, the Mount Somerset enjoys a tranquil location overlooking the Quantock Hills, Brendon Hills and Blackdown Hills.
"The hotel holds most of the original craftsmanship, which has been preserved to blend with the décor and lavish furnishings. High ceilings, large windows and a sweeping circular staircase create a feeling of elegance and great character and it feels much more of a home than a hotel. The spacious lounge is wonderfully bright and sunny, ideal for afternoon tea by one of the real log fireplaces or settling down with a book."
"Both the dining room and garden room, with its French doors opening onto a sunny terrace, create the perfect setting to relax and let the world drift by, calm and unhurried.
