This impressive Medieval Hall, with oak timbers and gable ends dated to almost a thousand years of age, is quite simply stunning. The room’s original use, for dining, lends itself perfectly to wedding ceremonies. With seating for up to 65 guests the room provides a truly unique and atmospheric setting.
With its great bay window the Withdrawing Room reflects the optimism and expansion of the Tudor period. The room’s unique carved panels, of adults arranged as couples facing one another, is an unusual feature and provides a more intimate setting for up to 30 guests.
The 2000 acres of estate comprises moorland, grassland and semi-ancient woodland. The hall’s formal gardens have now been returned to their original Victorian splendour and can be used for drinks receptions and photographs (weather permitting). For larger receptions we are able to arrange the installation of a marquee on the lower lawn in order that you and your guests can dance the night away!
