further review details
Hotel was very well located for our delegates and staff, and had good facilities for our needs. The conference room was of a good size, although we did struggle to maintain a comfortable temperature through the duration of the conference (often very cold, or occasionally very hot! Difficult to get the balance right). Hotel team were very helpful, especially the food & beverage team, great service from them. Food was excellent too. Reception were very helpful & professional when they were there, but there were several times where there was nobody at the Reception desk, and no obvious way of indicating a need to speak to them (a bell or enquiry button for example).
Bedrooms were comfortable if a little dated, but perfectly decent for the type of hotel.
A really good hotel for a conference or networking event. Ideal for work & business perhaps, rather than social / celebratory events. Nothing exceptional or outstanding, but solid Holiday Inn service and quality. Particularly liked the bar / lounge area with its large tables ideal for groups, and workstations with charging points & desk lamps. Location is slightly isolated (not near town) and most of us travelled by car (large, free car park which is very helpful) - easy access to the M4 but not sure what public transport links are like.
