overview
Considered by many to be the grandest of all Scottish Castles, Stirling Castle was a favourite Royal residence of successive Scottish Kings. The Castle is also linked with characters renowned in Scottish history such as Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. Situated between Edinburgh and Glasgow, Stirling is easily accessible.
Our magnificent banqueting hall, The Great Hall, is the largest of its kind ever built in Scotland and was used on a regularly basis for feasts, dances and pageants. The exterior walls are a very distinctive colour, rendered in Royal Gold harling, as they would have been in the 1500s. Dining in these surroundings makes for a very unqiue and exclusive experience.
Just across the square we have the palace of James V where guests can be transported into the rich world of Scotland’s royalty in the 1500s. Splendidly decorated and furnished, it recalls the years when it was the childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots.
