  This hotel was a fantastic find. We understand it was refurbished during Covid lockdown and is operating under new management with Crowne Plaza, having been owned by a different hotel group previously.
  The staff were excellent - communication and support in the lead-up to the event was professional, efficient, helpful and really warm & welcoming. The team onsite were similarly fantastic - always there when we needed something, anticipating requests but not being overly attentive or in the way. Smooth, effortless and always positive, and very much appreciated. The hotel itself is beautifully refurbished, lovely aerodrome-inspired decor and fittings, with a lovely sense of history. The bedrooms were smart and comfortable, and the conference space very well suited to our needs, with everything we could want. My only suggestion would be to update the old-school Projector technology in that space and offer SmartTV / screens which are easier to use and a better experience for delegates. This is a common theme across many hotels currently.

  Definitely recommend this venue for conferences and other networking events. Slightly unusual (there are even old planes behind the hotel as it's on an old airport site no longer used for its original purpose) but beautifully appointed and team are super helpful.
