Located in the scenic conservation village of Sonning on one of the loveliest stretches of the River Thames, The Great House has a truly unique setting.
Just 5 miles between both Reading and Henley the hotel has easy access to both the A4 and M4 with ample free parking for hotel customers and river boat moorings. A total of 59 bedrooms comprise 4 suites, 42 doubles, 7 twins and 6 singles. All have satellite TV, direct dial telephone with dataport, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and mineral water. Wireless broadband is available in all areas and tickets may be purchased from Reception.
Regatta Restaurant offers an extensive choice of both modern and established dishes in a modern european style. Open for dinner Monday - Saturday 7.00pm - 10.00pm. Traditional Sunday Luncheon between noon and 3.00pm. Alfresco dining is available in summer months.

From M4 motorway exit at either junction 8/9 or 10. From J8/9, take the A404 towards Henley and Oxford and exit at J9b. Take the A4 towards Reading for approx. 6 miles. At roundabout with Texaco Garage on left, take 3rd exit onto B478 and follow road over mini roundabout, through residential area until road goes downhill at sharp right-hand bend. Turn right into hotel car park before traffic lights and bridge.
From J10, take the A329(M) towards Reading East and exit at A4. Take A4 towards Maidenhead for approx. 3 miles. At roundabout with Texaco Garage on right, take first exit onto B478 and follow road over mini roundabout, through residential area until road goes downhill at sharp right-hand bend. Turn right into hotel car park before traffic lights and bridge.

It would be great to learn a little more and please do tell us about any team members that went the extra mile for you?

The setting is beautiful on the river and the conference facilities were lovely. The room had patio doors that we could open out onto the lawn.
The layout, availability and quality of the refreshments and lunch was of a very high standard. Very relaxed but efficient, Ollie was my standout member of staff. He was on hand for all our catering and technical requirements and happy to chat about the venue and its facilities.
