The University has venues suitable for many types of event. The Norcroft Centre, purpose-built in 2006, has a modern auditorium holding up to 200, as well as a spacious lounge, imposing reception/registration area, and two small meeting rooms. The nearby Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation (IPI) boats a well-equipped conference room accommodating up to 60 people. The Richmond Building has a newly-established meeting and training area as well as the spectacular Atrium, built of ETFE transparent foil, which can be used for performances and social events. For residential conferences, there is Heaton Mount, a former mill-owner’s home with additional meeting space in the adjacent Coach House, set in 13 acres of parkland two miles north of the main campus.
