overview
The decadent setting of gold topped Corinthian columns and sparking chandeliers make the Gibson Hall a unique and outstanding venue for gala dinners for up to 300 guests and receptions for up to 600.
Exclusive to the Gibson Hall is the beautiful and secluded Fountain Court and lawn and adjoining Garden Room. The Garden provides an ideal location for summer receptions and barbecues for up to 400 people.
In 1862 the directors of the National Provincial Bank of England decided to build their head office in Bishopsgate. They sought to erect a building that would facilitate the needs of the bank well into the future. The design was entrusted to John Gibson and his building was to serve the bank as head office for over a century. In recognition of his work and services to architecture, the Royal Institute of British Architects awarded him their Gold Medal in 1890.
Inside the hall there are numerous features relating to its banking history.
