Pennethorne’s, the sophisticated wine and cocktail bar located in the New Wing of Somerset House with a private Drawing Room and a spacious terrace for al fresco drinks and nibbles. Open all day, for morning coffee and croissants, light lunches and sophisticated evening cocktails. The carefully curated wine list is influenced by the Grand Tour of Europe popular in the Victorian era when the New Wing was built, with a focus on France, Spain and Italy. The menu also includes a monthly wine specials.
An evening small bites menu accompanies the drinks, also focusing on classic flavours from the European Grand Tour locations of France, Italy and Spain.
We all love a bit of exclusivity now and again and Pennethorne’s beautiful Drawing Room is the perfect private space for intimate get-togethers. Situated opposite the main bar, the Drawing Room is available for private groups of up to 40 reception with exclusive and bespoke menus available.
