Passionate about the international welfare of bears, after witnessing first hand the terrible fate of dancing bears in India, sisters Karine and Anna set up Hauser bears, a charity dedicated to the conservation of bears worldwide.
Currently six out of eight species of bear are threatened with extinction and between 7,000 and 10,000 bears are currently being exploited on bear bile farms in South East Asia.
Hauser Bears’ mission is to stop this trade altogether. They help to change the lives of bears at ground level, one by one, financially supporting these organisations to help facilitate rescuing bears from cruel environments to peaceful sanctuaries where they are protected.
