The Queens House

overview

Built by Inigo Jones for Queen Anne of Denmark between 1616 and 1619, the beautiful Queen’s House is England’s earliest example of classical architecture.

Designed specifically for entertaining, the Queen’s House provides a unique and regal setting for both corporate and private events.

The Great Hall is an ideal setting for dinner parties, buffet suppers and cocktail receptions.A perfect 40-foot cube, with its original black and white marble floor, the hall offers fine views of the River Thames and the Old Royal Naval College.

With breathtaking views across Greenwich Park to the Royal Observatory, the Orangery and South Parlours make an elegant and unforgettable setting for events of all kinds including inspiring daytime meetings for up to 50 guests.

Whichever space you opt for as the focus of your event, you’ll have the option to move to the atmospheric Undercroft for drinks and dancing. You can also offer your guests telescope viewings and art tours with one of our curators.
