The popular York Racecourse offers superb conference facilities in a very attractive setting with most conference and function rooms having views across to the winning post. Conference and exhibition space is located in two grandstands, both of which have been built in the last few years. The Racecourse is situated 1-½ miles from the city centre and is easily accessible from the motorway network. On-site catering is of an extremely high standard and there is plentiful free parking.

Try the new Parade Ring Restaurant. Timber clad main room has a feature roof window, air conditioning, bespoke Axminster carpet and all of the best in modern facilities. Private balcony overlooks the pre-parade ring, the Knavesmire track, main stands and the course itself.

  This was the second time that we booked the Racecourse for a book signing. We had approx 45 attending authors with around 200 attendees during the day, followed by an evening party for 200. The team at the Racecourse are incredibly welcoming and supportive, and are around on the day to ensure all runs smoothly.

  Do you have any good advice/tips for other bookers/organiser?
  

  Pre-order lunches, and make sure you have a very clear list for them to follow. Talk to local taxi firms to get fixed rate travel to the Racecourse.
